Key Responsibilities

Review dimensional and metallurgical inspection reports for various diesel engine components

Prepare inspection report summaries and evaluate dimensional, material and process deviations

Conduct review discussions with Plant Quality Assurance teams, suppliers and component responsible engineers regarding inspection findings

Visit supplier locations and engine assembly lines to participate in joint inspection and quality improvement activities

Prepare detailed inspection reports and release Initial Sample Inspection Reports (ISIR)

Support supplier qualification and quality assurance activities for critical engine components
-
Develop and maintain internal process documentation for new inspection and quality processes based on business requirements

Analyse quality issues and drive corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies

Collaborate effectively within agile and cross-functional teams to achieve project and quality objectives

Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements
Skills and Experience Required
-
Experience Range: 2–4 Years
-
Qualification: BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering
-
Should have knowledge of diesel engine parts and their functions
-
Should have knowledge of diesel engine materials and metallurgical analysis
-
Expertise in metrology, inspection methodologies and tools used to inspect various engine components
-
Knowledge of specialized dimensional & material inspection methods for diesel engine critical parts e.g. Liners, pistons, crankshafts, gears, valve train etc
-
Know-how of tools like 8D, six sigma and other problem-solving tools
-
Flexible to travel for work occasionally to different sites
