Position Overview:
The Field Officer (School & Student Outcomes) is a frontline implementation role responsible for translating district-level education and skill development plans into measurable student-level outcomes. The position plays a critical role in strengthening classroom delivery, student engagement, competency-based learning, and community participation in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023.
Working closely with government and aided schools, teachers, students, parents, and education functionaries at the cluster, block, and district levels, the Field Officer ensures effective implementation of skill education and experiential learning activities. The role requires daily school engagement, hands-on academic support, regular monitoring of learning outcomes, and strong coordination with the District Lead and government stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
1. School-Level Implementation
- Support assigned government and aided schools in implementing skill education and experiential learning activities as per approved district and state plans.
- Ensure the regular conduct of skill sessions, hands-on practical’s, projects, and assessments in classrooms and laboratories.
- Work closely with school heads and teachers to integrate competency-based pedagogy and assessment practices aligned with NCF 2023.
Support schools in maintaining schedules, lesson plans, and records related to skill education activities.

2. Student Engagement & Outcomes
- Facilitate student orientation sessions on skills, careers, and local employment opportunities for students in Grades 6–12.
- Track student attendance, participation, competencies acquired, and assessment results regularly.
- Identify at-risk students (low attendance, learning gaps, or drop-out risk) and coordinate remedial actions with teachers and school leadership.
Support and coordinate student projects, exhibitions, internships, exposure visits, and community-based learning activities.

3. Teacher Support & Mentoring
- Provide hand holding support to headmasters, teachers and vocational trainers.
- Demonstrate lesson plans, hands-on activities, and the use of low-cost teaching-learning materials where required.
- Support teachers in maintaining student portfolios, competency records, and assessment evidence.
Encourage adoption of experiential, project-based, and inclusive teaching practices.

4. Coordination with Government Functionaries
- Coordinate regularly with Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs), Block Education Officers (BEOs), Block Resource Coordinators (BRCs), and District Education Officers (DEOs) for planning, reviews, and approvals.
- Participate in cluster and block-level review meetings and share field insights, progress, and implementation challenges.
Support district-level trainings, review meetings, events, and field visits as assigned by the District Lead.

5. Communication & Field Reporting
- Serve as the first point of contact for schools, teachers, students, and the community
- Clearly communicate activity plans, student expectations, timelines, and assessment requirements at the school level.
- Share regular field updates, challenges, risks, and success stories with the District Lead.
- Maintain basic records, school visit reports, and student progress documentation.
Support coordination and communication for block- and district-level meetings, trainings, and events.

6. Community & Parent Engagement
- Engage School Management Committees (SMCs), parents, and community leaders to improve student attendance, participation, and retention.
- Organise parent meetings, career awareness sessions, skill & job mela’s
Mobilise local resources, volunteers, and community support to strengthen student learning activities.

7. Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting
- Collect, verify, and maintain accurate school- and student-level data, including attendance, competencies, assessments, photographs, and case stories.
- Conduct regular school visits with implementation and observation checklists.
- Submit a weekly field reports and monthly progress summaries to the District Lead.
Identify risks, delays, in quality implementation and take corrective actions promptly.

Minimum Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- 1–4 years of experience working directly with schools, teachers, children and the community
- Prior experience with government and school systems is preferred.
- Familiarity with NEP 2020, NCF 2023, or competency-based education
- Fluency in Marathi is mandatory; working knowledge of English is desirable.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Background in social work, education, vocational training, or rural development is desirable.
- Strong rapport-building skills with children, teachers, and community members.
- Good facilitation and communication skills; comfortable working in a school setting
- Basic data collection, reporting, and documentation skills (paper-based and digital).
- High field orientation with patience and adaptability to work in rural areas
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Strong commitment to child protection, inclusion, and ethical field practices
- Field-intensive role involving daily school visits and frequent travel across the district and other districts as and when required.
- Occasional weekend or evening work for community events or student activities.
- Travel allowance and field-related expenses reimbursed as per organizational policy.
