We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with construction industry experience to manage day-to-day accounting, project accounts, vendor and subcontractor payments, statutory compliance, payroll-related accounting, and financial reporting. The candidate should have strong knowledge of construction project accounting, billing, cost control, and reconciliation.
- Manage day-to-day accounting transactions, including receipts, payments, purchases, expenses, journal entries, and general ledger.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely posting of all financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly and periodic financial reports, MIS, and management reports.
- Perform bank, ledger, vendor, customer, and inter-company reconciliations.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain project-wise and site-wise accounts and monitor project expenses against approved budgets.
- Track material, labour, subcontractor, equipment, and other project-related costs.
- Monitor project profitability, cost-to-completion, and budget variances.
- Review project expenses and ensure proper allocation to the respective projects/cost centres.
- Coordinate with project and site teams for cost-related documentation and approvals.
- Verify and process client invoices, RA bills, work completion bills, and subcontractor bills.
- Check measurements, work orders, purchase orders, supporting documents, and approvals before processing bills.
- Maintain subcontractor accounts and reconcile advances, deductions, retention amounts, and outstanding balances.
- Verify deductions such as TDS, retention, recoveries, advances, and other contractual deductions.
- Coordinate with project teams for certification and timely submission of bills.
- Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders, work orders, GRNs, delivery documents, and approvals.
- Prepare payment schedules and monitor vendor outstanding balances.
- Maintain proper documentation for vendor payments and advances.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable GST, TDS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Assist in preparation and filing of GST and TDS returns.
- Maintain supporting records and documents required for statutory audits and assessments.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and statutory authorities whenever required.
- Coordinate with HR/payroll teams for salary and wage-related accounting.
- Verify labour and manpower bills, attendance records, wage sheets, and statutory deductions.
- Ensure proper accounting of employee benefits, reimbursements, advances, and payroll liabilities.
- Support statutory, internal, tax, and project audits.
- Maintain proper documentation and accounting records for audit purposes.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and internal financial controls.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and accounting principles.
- Good understanding of project costing and construction accounting.
- Proficiency in Tally / ERP / accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of vendor, subcontractor, and client accounts.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with site and project teams.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
