Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst with a strong foundation in accounting, financial modeling, and data analytics. In this role, you will analyze financial statements, prepare variance reports, assist in budgeting and forecasting, and provide actionable quantitative insights to support management decision-making and client deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, P&L breakdowns, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Variance & Trend Analysis: Analyze discrepancies between actual business performance versus budgets/forecasts and highlight key cost drivers.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in building financial models, cash flow projections, and revenue forecasts using structured frameworks.
- Data Synthesis & Visualization: Consolidate large financial datasets, build dynamic dashboards, and extract insights using Advanced MS Excel and BI tools.
- Audit & Compliance Support: Assist senior management during internal/external audit cycles by maintaining transparent documentation and audit trails.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct cost-benefit analyses, pricing evaluations, and operational efficiency reviews as requested by business leads.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Age: Below 28 years.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance/commerce: B.Com, BBA (Finance), B.A. Economics, or MBA (Finance) / M.Com.
- Experience:
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting operations.
- Exceptionally skilled MBA (Finance) freshers with strong financial modeling projects will also be considered.
- Technical Skills:
- Advanced MS Excel proficiency (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, Nested IFs, What-If Analysis).
- Working knowledge of ERP/Accounting software (SAP, TallyPrime, QuickBooks, or Oracle Financials).
- Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL is a strong plus.
- Core Competencies: Strong quantitative reasoning, thorough grasp of corporate finance fundamentals, and clear written/verbal English communication.
