Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for monitoring and coordinating all mechanical-related activities from the Head Office for ongoing construction projects. The role includes handling vehicle and equipment documentation, coordination with project sites, maintenance tracking, vendor coordination, and managing RTO-related activities for company vehicles and machinery.
Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical & Construction Related Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate mechanical activities for ongoing construction projects.
- Maintain records of all construction machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
- Coordinate with project/site teams regarding equipment deployment, breakdowns, servicing, and maintenance schedules.
- Track fuel consumption, machinery utilization, and maintenance expenses.
- Follow up with vendors and service providers for repair and maintenance work.
- Ensure timely servicing and preventive maintenance of all vehicles and machinery.
- Maintain inventory records of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to machinery and equipment status.
- Support procurement team in mechanical-related purchases and technical comparisons.
- Maintain documentation related to insurance, fitness, pollution, permits, and equipment records.
RTO Related Responsibilities
- Handle all RTO-related works for company vehicles and machinery.
- Coordinate for vehicle registration, ownership transfer, permit renewal, tax payment, fitness renewal, and pollution certificate renewal.
- Maintain validity records of driving licenses, permits, insurance, and vehicle documents.
- Liaise with RTO offices, agents, and transport authorities for smooth processing of documentation.
- Ensure compliance with transport and vehicle-related statutory requirements.
- Keep proper tracking and reminders for renewal dates to avoid penalties.
Coordination & Administrative Responsibilities
- Coordinate with drivers, operators, site in-charges, and transport vendors.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of all mechanical and transport-related records.
- Assist management in audit and compliance-related documentation.
- Support administration team in transport and vehicle management activities whenever required.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of construction vehicles and machinery.
- Basic knowledge of RTO rules and vehicle documentation.
- Strong coordination and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and reporting.
- Good communication and record-keeping abilities.
Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- Minimum 1–3 years experience in construction, infrastructure, or transport-related operations preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
