We are looking for a dedicated, responsible, and proactive Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our vacation rental properties across Udupi. The ideal candidate should ensure that every property is well-maintained, operationally ready, and provides an excellent guest experience.
This is a full-time field-based role, requiring daily visits to multiple properties and close coordination with housekeeping staff, caretakers, and the reservations team.
Selected candidate's day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Visit assigned properties on a daily basis to ensure they are guest-ready.
- Conduct routine operational inspections using standardized SOPs and property checklists.
- Manage stock and inventory, including toiletries, linen, cleaning supplies, kitchen essentials, and other operational items.
- Coordinate with housekeeping staff, caretakers, and property owners to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Ensure all maintenance issues are identified and resolved promptly.
- Basic troubleshooting of electrical appliances, plumbing fixtures, Wi-Fi, televisions, air conditioners, geysers, and other common property equipment.
- Coordinate guest check-ins, check-outs, and assist in resolving guest concerns whenever required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and submit daily operational reports.
- Ensure every property meets cleanliness, safety, and quality standards before guest arrival.
- Monitor vendor work and coordinate repairs or maintenance whenever necessary.
- Follow and enforce company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all managed properties.
- Report operational issues, damages, shortages, or maintenance requirements to the management team promptly.
Requirements:
- Must be fluent in Kannada.
- Basic communication skills in English and Hindi.
- Previous experience in hospitality, hotels, homestays, resorts, or property management is preferred.
- Good leadership, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of smartphones, WhatsApp, Google Maps, spreadsheets, and inventory management.
- Must possess basic troubleshooting knowledge of common household appliances and utilities.
- Must own a two-wheeler with a valid driving licence for daily property visits.
- Should be based in Udupi or nearby areas.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple properties efficiently.
- Willingness to travel locally on a daily basis.
