UAV Systems Engineer
Key Skills:
- Core UAV Knowledge: Flight dynamics, control systems, propulsion, aerodynamics, battery systems
- Autopilot Systems: ArduPilot, PX4, DJI A3/N3, Betaflight, MAVLink protocol expertise
- Software: Python, C/C++, MATLAB/Simulink, ROS/ROS2, Gazebo, SITL/HITL simulation
- Hardware: Pixhawk/Cube, embedded systems, sensors – IMU, GPS, LiDAR, cameras, RF telemetry
- Tools: Mission Planner, QGroundControl, SolidWorks/CATIA, Altium, Git
- Payloads: EO/IR cameras, LiDAR, hyperspectral systems, Li-Po/Li-Ion power systems
- Regulatory Knowledge: DGCA CAR, DigitalSky, NPNT, Type Certification
Experience:
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in UAV piloting, flight testing, system tuning, and field deployments
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define UAV architecture, subsystem requirements, and interface control documents
- Integrate flight controllers such as Pixhawk, ArduPilot, PX4, sensors, telemetry systems, payloads, ESCs, and motors
- Plan and execute SITL, HITL, ground tests, and flight tests
- Analyze flight logs using Mission Planner and QGroundControl
- Configure and test autopilot systems
- Develop scripts in Python/C++ for mission planning, MAVLink protocol, and ROS/ROS2 applications
- Ensure compliance with DGCA DigitalSky, NPNT, and RPAS guidelines
- Prepare design documentation, test reports, SOPs, user manuals, and airworthiness documentation
- Troubleshoot hardware/software failures, analyze crash logs, and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with aerodynamics, structures, embedded systems, GCS, and operations teams for end-to-end project delivery
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
