Job Summary
SummitWest IT Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable web and software applications.
This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership ability, and experience building production-level applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable web and backend applications
- Lead architecture and technical decision-making
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code
- Review code and mentor junior developers
- Integrate third-party APIs and services
- Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong proficiency in:
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- React, Next.js, or Angular
- Node.js / Express
- REST APIs
- SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB)
- Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Good written and spoken English communication
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading technical teams
- Knowledge of DevOps practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Portfolio or GitHub with active projects
