Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to oversee food preparation, ensure high-quality culinary standards, and maintain efficient kitchen operations. The Chef will be responsible for creating and preparing menu items, managing kitchen staff, ensuring food safety compliance, and delivering an exceptional dining experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design, develop, and regularly update menus aligned with the restaurant's concept and customer preferences.
2. Create seasonal and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and profitability.
3. Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, taste, and portion control.
4. Monitor and maintain high culinary standards across all food production areas.
5. Oversee daily kitchen operations and workflow.
6. Plan production schedules to ensure efficient service during peak and non-peak hours.
7. Ensure proper food preparation, storage, and handling procedures.
8. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of the kitchen.
9. Prepare, cook, and present food according to established recipes and standards.
10. Ensure consistency, taste, portion control, and presentation of all dishes.
11. Monitor food quality and freshness of ingredients.
12. Develop and introduce new menu items and seasonal specials.
13. Organize and supervise daily kitchen activities.
14. Coordinate food preparation to ensure timely service.
15. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the kitchen.
16. Ensure proper storage and handling of food products.
17. Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff.
18. Assign duties and monitor staff performance.
19. Foster a positive and productive work environment.
20. Assist in recruiting and onboarding kitchen personnel. Inventory & Cost Control
21. Required Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed.
22. Minimize food waste and control kitchen costs.
23. Conduct regular stock checks and maintain inventory records.
24. Ensure efficient utilization of ingredients and resources.
25. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
26. Ensure compliance with local food handling standards.
27. Maintain a safe working environment for all kitchen staff.
28. Support special events, catering functions, and promotional activities.
Qualifications
1. Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar culinary role.
3. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
4. Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
5. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
