Job Summary
NIARC is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist to support children with speech, language, communication, and feeding difficulties. The therapist will work closely with children with developmental and neurological conditions to improve communication and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess children with conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cerebral Palsy (CP), speech delay, language disorders, ADHD, and hearing impairments
- Develop individualized therapy plans (IEP/ITP) based on each child’s needs
- Conduct therapy sessions focusing on:
- Speech clarity and articulation
- Language development (understanding and expression)
- Communication skills (verbal and non-verbal)
- Social communication and interaction
- Feeding and swallowing (if required)
- Use techniques such as:
- Oral motor therapy
- Language stimulation activities
- Play-based and communication-focused therapy
- Introduce and train in AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) if needed
- Guide parents/caregivers on home-based communication strategies
- Monitor, evaluate, and document progress regularly
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (OT, PT, Behavioral Therapist, Special Educator)
- Maintain therapy records, reports, and progress notes
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy preferred
- Freshers with strong interest in working with children can apply
