We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to ensure maximum uptime and reliability of production equipment. The candidate will be responsible for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of press shop machinery, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, EOT cranes, welding equipment, and other plant machinery.
Key ResponsibilitiesMechanical Maintenance
- Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production machinery.
- Ensure minimum downtime and maximum machine availability.
- Prepare maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.
Press Shop Maintenance
- Maintain mechanical and hydraulic presses.
- Troubleshoot issues related to press machines, feeders, dies, clutches, brakes, and lubrication systems.
- Monitor machine performance and implement corrective actions.
Hydraulic & Pneumatic Systems
- Maintain hydraulic power packs, cylinders, pumps, valves, pipelines, and actuators.
- Diagnose and rectify hydraulic and pneumatic failures.
- Monitor oil quality, pressure settings, and system efficiency.
EOT Crane Maintenance
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of EOT cranes.
- Ensure safe operation of hoists, wire ropes, gearboxes, motors, brakes, and limit switches.
- Coordinate statutory inspections and certifications.
TPM & Continuous Improvement
- Support TPM activities and machine improvement projects.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring breakdowns.
- Implement cost-saving and reliability improvement initiatives.
Spare Parts & Documentation
- Maintain critical spare inventory.
- Prepare maintenance records, breakdown reports, and machine history cards.
- Coordinate with stores and purchase for spare procurement.
Installation & Commissioning
- Support machine installation, relocation, commissioning, and capacity expansion projects.
- Coordinate with OEMs and vendors during commissioning activities.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance practices.
- Hands-on experience in press shop equipment.
- Expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience in EOT crane maintenance.
- Knowledge of TPM, RCA, 5S, and preventive maintenance systems.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and hydraulic circuits.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Automotive, Bus Body, Seating, Fabrication, or Heavy Engineering industries.
- Exposure to machine installation and commissioning projects.
- Knowledge of safety standards and statutory compliance for lifting equipment.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
