We are looking for a creative, internet-native, and storytelling-driven Video Editor who understands today's social media, short-form content, trends, audience psychology, retention, and narrative-driven storytelling.
This is not a traditional video editing role.
We are not looking for someone who can simply edit videos.
We are looking for someone who understands stories, emotions, internet culture, and can transform a good idea into content people actually watch, feel, remember, and share.
The ideal candidate understands that great content is not created through transitions and effects alone. It is created through observation, narrative, emotion, timing, and storytelling.
If you naturally notice why certain videos make people stop scrolling, why some stories stay with people, and how a simple idea can become a powerful piece of content, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
* Edit high-retention short-form videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form platforms.
* Transform scripts into engaging visual stories.
* Improve pacing, storytelling, emotional impact, hooks, and audience retention.
* Identify the strongest moments, emotions, and narrative opportunities within a script.
* Contribute creative ideas that strengthen the content beyond the original script.
* Use text, motion, sound design, stock visuals, internet references, memes, and editing techniques to improve storytelling and engagement.
* Understand audience behavior and continuously optimize content for watch time and retention.
* Collaborate closely with the Narrative Strategy and Content Planning team.
* Produce high-quality content consistently in a fast-moving, high-output environment.
Requirements
* 1–3 years of relevant experience in short-form content editing.
* Strong understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and modern content formats.
* Excellent storytelling, pacing, and editing instincts.
* Understanding of audience psychology, retention, and internet culture.
* Ability to identify compelling narratives and emotional moments within content.
* Strong creative judgment and attention to detail.
* Comfortable working with quick turnarounds and feedback cycles.
* Self-driven, curious, resourceful, and proactive.

* Have managed your own content page, channel, or creator project.
* Have edited content for creators, brands, startups, or digital agencies.
* Understand memes, internet trends, audience psychology, and online communities.
* Frequently analyze content to understand why it performs.
