Light and Sound Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Light and Sound Engineer to design, set up, operate, and maintain lighting and audio systems for live events, performances, conferences, and productions. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while delivering high-quality audiovisual experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, test, and operate professional lighting and sound equipment for events and productions.
- Program and control lighting consoles to create lighting effects that enhance performances and presentations.
- Mix live audio to ensure clear, balanced, and high-quality sound.
- Install and configure microphones, speakers, amplifiers, lighting fixtures, and control systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on lighting and audio equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues before and during events to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with event managers, production teams, performers, and clients to meet production requirements.
- Ensure all equipment is transported, installed, and dismantled safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety regulations and industry best practices when handling electrical and rigging equipment.
- Maintain inventory records and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements when needed.
Qualifications
- Diploma, certificate, or bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Lighting Design, Electronics, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience operating professional lighting and sound systems.
- Knowledge of digital mixing consoles, lighting control software, DMX systems, and audiovisual equipment.
- Strong understanding of signal flow, acoustics, and stage lighting techniques.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and equipment manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment and work at heights when required.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with live events, concerts, theater productions, or corporate events.
- Familiarity with LED lighting systems, moving lights, wireless audio systems, and video integration.
- Knowledge of networking for audio and lighting systems.
- Certification in electrical safety or rigging is an advantage.
Working Conditions

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
