SHEOWS is a leading NGO dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and care of destitute and abandoned elderly individuals. We provide medical support, shelter, dignity, and an improved quality of life to elders in need. The Media Intern will support our communications team in capturing, creating, and producing visual content that brings SHEOWS's work and impact to life across digital and print platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Photography
Capture high-quality photographs at SHEOWS centres, field visits, events, and community activities.
Document beneficiary stories, staff interactions, and programme milestones through compelling imagery.
Organise, label, and maintain a well-structured photo library for internal and external use.
2. Videography
Shoot on-ground video footage across centres and programme activities.
Support production of short films, donor updates, awareness videos, and testimonial recordings.
Ensure quality framing, lighting, and sound during shoots.
3. Video Editing
Edit raw footage into polished, impactful videos for social media, donor communications, and campaigns.
Add subtitles, transitions, colour grading, and sound design as needed.
Adapt video formats and lengths across platforms (Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.).
4. Motion Graphics & Animation
Create motion graphics, animated posts, and short animated explainers using tools like Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar.
Support design of animated stories, infographics, and campaign creatives for digital platforms.
Collaborate with the social media team to ensure visual consistency across content.
5. Administrative & Reporting Support
Maintain an organised archive of all media assets, raw files, and final deliverables.
Support the communications team with any additional visual or multimedia requirements.
Assist with documentation of events and activities for reports and donor materials.
Required Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Lightroom, or equivalent tools.
Good eye for composition, lighting, and visual storytelling.
Basic to intermediate video editing and motion graphics skills.
Ability to handle a camera (DSLR/mirrorless) or mobile photography at a good level.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet content deadlines.
Empathy and sensitivity toward the communities and individuals being filmed or photographed.
Eligibility
Must be based in or able to commute to Gurgaon for on-site work (4 hours/day, Monday to Friday).
Currently enrolled undergraduate or postgraduate students from Mass Communication, Film & Media Production, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or any related discipline.
Open to students in their penultimate or final year looking for a summer internship.
A portfolio or sample work (photos, videos, reels, or motion graphics) is preferred but not mandatory.
