Job Summary
The F&B Trainee Captain assists in the supervision of restaurant and banquet operations while undergoing training to develop leadership and service management skills. The role involves ensuring excellent guest service, coordinating with service staff, and learning all aspects of Food & Beverage operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising daily restaurant and banquet service operations.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, courteous, and professional service.
- Support Captains and Supervisors in managing service staff during shifts.
- Learn and follow hotel service standards and SOPs.
- Coordinate with the kitchen for smooth and timely service delivery.
- Assist in handling guest requests, feedback, and complaints.
- Monitor table setups, cleanliness, and outlet presentation.
- Support inventory control and proper handling of service equipment.
- Participate in staff briefings and training sessions.
- Maintain hygiene and food safety standards at all times.
- Assist in preparing operational reports and shift handovers.
- Develop leadership skills for future Captain-level responsibilities.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management/Hospitality Management.
- 0–2 years of experience in Food & Beverage Service.
- Freshers with hotel management qualifications are encouraged to apply.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for hospitality and guest service.
- Ability to work in a team environment and flexible shifts.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant and banquet operations is preferred.
