Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Senior QA professional with 7–10 years of experience**, preferably from the **Automotive Plastic Injection Moulding / Automotive Components Manufacturing sector. The candidate should have strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems, customer quality requirements, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, CAPA, audits, and plastic injection moulding processes**.
The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving product and process quality while ensuring compliance with **IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements**.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for plastic injection moulding operations.
* Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality procedures**.
* Monitor and improve incoming, in-process, and final inspection systems.
* Handle customer complaints and lead 8D / RCA / CAPA** activities.
* Conduct Root Cause Analysis** using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and other problem-solving techniques.
* Prepare and review APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and related quality documentation**.
* Monitor process capability and implement corrective/preventive actions for recurring quality issues.
* Coordinate with Production, Tool Room, Maintenance, Engineering, and Development teams to resolve quality problems.
* Control **rejection, rework, customer complaints, and process deviations**.
* Conduct internal process, product, and system audits.
* Support and coordinate **customer audits and certification audits**.
* Establish and maintain inspection standards, work instructions, quality alerts, and control plans.
* Ensure proper calibration and control of **measuring and testing instruments**.
* Analyze quality data and prepare **MIS, rejection reports, customer complaint reports, and quality performance reports**.
* Ensure effective implementation of **CAPA and continuous improvement activities**.
* Train and guide Quality Inspectors and Junior Quality Engineers.
* Monitor supplier quality and coordinate with suppliers for quality improvement where required.
Plastic Injection Moulding Knowledge
The candidate should preferably have good practical knowledge of:
* Plastic injection moulding processes
* Injection moulding defects and troubleshooting
* Mould / tool-related quality issues
* Dimensional and visual inspection of moulded components
* Process parameters and process control
* First-off approval and patrol inspection
* Rejection and rework control
* Part inspection as per customer drawings and specifications
Automotive Quality Tools
Strong knowledge of the following is required:
* **APQP**
* **PPAP**
* **PFMEA**

* **MSA / Gauge R&R**
* **SPC**
* **8D Problem Solving**
* **5 Why Analysis**
* **Fishbone Analysis**

Technical Skills
* Good knowledge of **GD&T and engineering drawings**.
* Knowledge of **Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Profile Projector, CMM, and other measuring instruments**.
* Ability to analyze dimensional inspection reports.
* Good understanding of quality standards and customer specifications.
* Strong documentation and report preparation skills.
* Good knowledge of **Excel and quality-related reporting systems**.
* Strong communication, leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Qualification
**Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Polymer, or related Engineering discipline.**
Preferred Experience
Candidates with **7–10 years of relevant experience** in:
* Automotive Plastic Injection Moulding
* Automotive Components Manufacturing
* Plastic Parts Manufacturing
* Tier-1 / Tier-2 Automotive Suppliers
* IATF 16949 certified manufacturing companies

**Preferred Candidate: A technically strong and experienced Senior QA professional from the Automotive sector, preferably with hands-on experience in plastic injection moulding, who can independently handle customer complaints, audits, APQP/PPAP, quality systems, process improvement, and team management.
