Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor with 3 months to 1 year of experience, specializing in short-form content. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for trends, pacing, and storytelling. You will be responsible for transforming raw footage into high-impact, engaging Reels and videos that drive audience growth and engagement for our brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, trending Reels and short videos for platforms like Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
- Apply creative editing techniques, including dynamic transitions, sound design, text animations, and motion graphics to enhance viewer engagement.
- Select and sync video clips with trending audio and music to maximize content reach.
- Ensure all final videos are optimized for each platform's specific format and best practices.
- Collaborate with the social media team to understand content goals and brainstorm ideas.
- Manage multiple editing projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, editing styles, and features.
Requirements:
- 3 months to 1 year of proven experience in video editing, with a focus on social media content.
- A strong portfolio/showreel link is mandatory.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, etc).
- Strong sense of timing, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Understanding of aspect ratios, formats, and technical specifications for various social platforms.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Having your own PC with video editing software is preferred.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have):
- Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects for creating simple motion graphics and animations.
- Experience with color grading and basic audio correction.
- Understanding of what drives engagement, views, and shares on social media.
- Ability to create basic thumbnails for videos.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Wakad, Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
