Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and responsible VTL Operator to operate and maintain Vertical Turret Lathe (VTL) machines for precision machining work. The candidate should be able to read engineering drawings, set up machines, and ensure quality production as per specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate VTL machines for machining metal components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces on the machine.
- Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments.
- Check dimensions using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ensure product quality and maintain production targets.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning.
- Follow safety guidelines and workplace procedures.
Requirements
- ITI/Diploma in Machinist, Turner, or relevant field.
- Minimum 1 to 4 years of experience operating VTL machines.
- Knowledge of machining processes and measuring instruments.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance and safety practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in heavy engineering or manufacturing industry.
- CNC VTL knowledge is an added advantage.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
