Job Title: Senior Executive – Accounts & Finance (Semi-Qualified CA)
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Semi-Qualified Chartered Accountant to join our finance team as a Senior Executive – Accounts & Finance in a stock broking firm. The candidate will be responsible for managing accounting operations, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes specific to the capital markets and broking industry.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Maintain books of accounts in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Handle journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Monitor revenue recognition for brokerage, transaction charges, and other income streams.
2. Exchange & Client Reconciliation
- Perform daily reconciliation with NSE/BSE/MCX exchange reports.
- Handle client ledger reconciliation, margin reconciliation, and settlement accounts.
- Ensure accuracy in pay-in/pay-out reconciliation.
3. Regulatory & Compliance
- Assist in compliance with SEBI, Exchange, and Depository regulations.
- Support preparation of reports for SEBI, NSE/BSE, and clearing corporations.
- Coordinate with auditors for internal, statutory, and regulatory audits.
4. Taxation
- Manage GST compliance, return filing, and reconciliation.
- Handle TDS calculation, return filing, and reconciliation.
- Support tax assessments and respond to notices when required.
5. Audit & Controls
- Assist in internal audits, statutory audits, and exchange audits.
- Maintain documentation and schedules required for audits.
- Strengthen internal financial controls and process improvements.
6. MIS & Analysis
- Prepare MIS reports for management related to brokerage revenue, expenses, and profitability.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business decisions.
Qualifications
- Semi-Qualified CA (CA Inter / IPCC) – mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
Experience
- 2 – 5 years of experience in stock broking, capital markets, or financial services
- Experience with exchange reconciliation and regulatory reporting preferred
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting, GST, and TDS
- Understanding of SEBI and exchange compliance
- Proficiency in Tally / accounting software and MS Excel
- Analytical thinking and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with large financial datasets and tight deadlines
Preferred Skills
- Experience in brokerage accounting systems (Back-office software like LD, Symphony, etc.)
- Knowledge of client margin reporting and settlement cycles
- Exposure to capital market operations
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
