Job Summary:
ABODE School is seeking a nurturing, enthusiastic, and child-centered Preschool Teacher to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment for young learners. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of early childhood education and a passion for fostering children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Experience in Montessori education will be considered an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with the preschool curriculum.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages exploration and independent learning.
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress and provide regular feedback to parents.
- Support children's social, emotional, and behavioral development through positive guidance techniques.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and engaging classroom environment.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
- Participate in school events, workshops, professional development programs, and parent-teacher meetings.
- Ensure the well-being, safety, and hygiene of all students at all times.
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning through hands-on and interactive activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in preschool or early childhood education.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, creativity, and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Montessori training or prior Montessori teaching experience will be an added advantage.
- Certification in Early Childhood Education or related programs is desirable.
