3D Modeler & Texture Artist (Blender)About the Role
We are looking for a talented and passionate 3D Animator with strong experience in Blender to create high-quality, game-ready assets for our upcoming VR and game projects. You will work closely with artists, game designers, and developers to bring environments, props, vehicles, and other game assets to life while maintaining visual quality and performance.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 3D models for environments, props, architecture, vehicles, and game assets using Blender.
- Produce clean, optimized, and game-ready meshes with proper topology.
- Perform UV unwrapping and create efficient UV layouts.
- Create realistic or stylized PBR textures using Blender and/or tools like Substance Painter.
- Bake normal maps, ambient occlusion, curvature, and other texture maps.
- Optimize assets for real-time rendering in Unity.
- Ensure assets meet polygon budgets and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with concept artists, game designers, and developers throughout production.
- Maintain consistent art style across all assets.
- Modify and improve existing assets based on feedback.
- Organize project files and maintain proper naming conventions.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Blender.
- Excellent knowledge of 3D modeling, retopology, and mesh optimization.
- Experience with UV mapping and texture baking.
- Strong understanding of PBR workflows.
- Experience creating materials and textures.
- Good understanding of lighting and rendering principles.
- Knowledge of polygon optimization for games and VR.
- Experience exporting assets to Unity.
- Understanding of scale, proportions, and real-world references.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Substance Painter or Adobe Substance 3D suite.
- Knowledge of sculpting in Blender or ZBrush.
- Experience creating modular environments.
- Basic knowledge of animation and rigging.
- Familiarity with Git or version control.
- Experience with VR or mobile game optimization.
- Knowledge of Unity's material and import pipeline.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional or freelance experience in 3D modeling.
- Strong portfolio showcasing game-ready assets.
- Experience creating both low-poly and high-quality assets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
