Job Title: Biomedical Engineer

Job Summary
The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, calibration, and safe operation of all medical equipment within the hospital. The role ensures minimal downtime of critical equipment and compliance with healthcare safety standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Equipment Management
- Install, test, and commission new medical equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of all biomedical devices
- Maintain inventory of equipment including AMC/CMC records
- Ensure proper functioning of ICU, OT, OPD, and diagnostic equipment
2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose faults and repair medical equipment promptly
- Coordinate with vendors for breakdowns and servicing
- Maintain logs of repairs, servicing, and equipment history
- Ensure minimal downtime, especially for critical machines
3. Calibration & Quality Assurance
- Perform routine calibration of equipment as per standards
- Ensure compliance with NABH and other regulatory requirements
- Maintain documentation for audits and inspections
- Monitor equipment performance and safety standards
4. Vendor & AMC Management
- Handle Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) and Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMC)
- Liaise with suppliers and service providers
- Evaluate vendor performance and service quality
5. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all equipment meets electrical and safety norms
- Conduct periodic safety checks and risk assessments
- Train staff on safe handling of medical equipment
6. Documentation
- Maintain equipment manuals, service reports, and calibration records
- Prepare reports for audits (NABH, internal audits, etc.)
- Ensure proper tagging and coding of all hospital equipment
Key Equipment Exposure (Preferred)
- ICU equipment (Ventilators, Monitors, Defibrillators)
- Cardiology equipment (TMT, 2D Echo machines)
- OT equipment (Anesthesia machines, OT tables)
- Diagnostic equipment (ECG, X-ray, Ultrasound)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Electronics / Instrumentation
- Diploma candidates with relevant experience may also be considered
Experience
- 1–3 years in hospital or healthcare setup preferred
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge may be considered

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
