Job Summary
The Hospital Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and supporting safe and effective medication use under the guidance of senior pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities
* Dispense medicines as per valid prescriptions and hospital policies.
* Verify prescriptions for accuracy and completeness before dispensing.
* Maintain proper storage of medicines as per manufacturer guidelines.
* Check medicine expiry dates and remove expired or damaged stock.
* Assist in inventory management, stock receipt, and stock reconciliation.
* Maintain pharmacy records, registers, and documentation accurately.
* Counsel patients on the proper use of medications when required.
* Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and pharmacy regulations.
* Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for medication-related queries.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy.
* Report medication errors or adverse drug events to the senior pharmacist.
* Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality standards.
Required Skills
* Basic knowledge of pharmacology and hospital pharmacy practices.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy software (preferred).
* Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
* Willingness to learn and work as part of a healthcare team.
Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
