Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Production Planning & Control (PPC) Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, material coordination, inventory monitoring, and ensuring timely execution of manufacturing activities in a heavy engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and monitor production plans based on customer requirements and manufacturing capacity.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, and Quality departments to ensure smooth workflow.
- Track production schedules and ensure timely completion of jobs.
- Monitor material availability and coordinate procurement activities to avoid production delays.
- Maintain and update production data in ERP systems.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Monitor inventory levels and support material planning activities.
- Follow up with vendors and internal departments for timely material availability.
- Assist in estimation and planning of components and manufacturing requirements.
- Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements to enhance productivity.
Required Qualifications:
- B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Production Planning & Control within a Heavy Engineering or Manufacturing Industry.
- Experience in handling Planning, Purchase Coordination, and Stores-related activities.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems.
- Understanding of production planning, scheduling, inventory control, and material management.
Required Skills:
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Price negotiation and vendor coordination skills will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP software.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Experience: At least 10+ years of relevant experience in PPC
Education: Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering
Language Requirements:
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Kannada, Hindi, or other regional languages will be an added advantage.
- Capable of coordinating with shop floor personnel, vendors, and internal departments.
