We are seeking a skilled and experienced Biochemistry Laboratory Technician / Technologist to join our NABL-accredited diagnostic laboratory.
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Clinical Biochemistry, Quality Control (QC), laboratory instrumentation, and NABL-compliant laboratory practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialised clinical biochemistry investigations accurately and efficiently.
- Independently operate, troubleshoot and maintain:
- Clinical Chemistry Analysers
- Chemiluminescence Analysers
- Immunoassay Analysers
- Have an in-depth understanding of the principles, functioning, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of each analyser.
- Perform and document Internal Quality Control (IQC) and take appropriate corrective action when QC results are outside acceptable limits.
- Understand and interpret Levey-Jennings charts, Westgard Rules, calibration trends, shifts and analytical errors.
- Participate in External Quality Assurance / Proficiency Testing (EQAS/PT) programmes.
- Maintain proper documentation related to:
- Equipment maintenance and calibration
- Reagent and consumable records
- Temperature monitoring
- Quality control
- Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Laboratory SOPs and records
- Follow established NABL quality standards and laboratory SOPs.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory preparedness for NABL assessments, surveillance and audits.
- Identify analytical errors, equipment-related problems and QC failures and initiate appropriate corrective measures.
- Ensure accurate reporting, proper sample handling and adherence to laboratory turnaround times.

Candidate Assessment
As our laboratory is NABL accredited, shortlisted candidates will undergo a technical interview and knowledge assessment.
The assessment will specifically evaluate the candidate's current and practical knowledge of clinical chemistry analysers, chemiluminescence/immunoassay systems, calibration, troubleshooting, quality control and NABL laboratory practices.
We are looking for candidates who can contribute towards maintaining high analytical standards and strengthening our NABL accreditation and quality management system.
Preferred Candidate
- Relevant qualification in Medical Laboratory Technology / Biochemistry / Clinical Laboratory Sciences
- Previous experience working in a NABL-accredited diagnostic laboratory preferred
- Hands-on experience with automated clinical chemistry and immunoassay analysers
- Strong background in QC and laboratory quality management
- Detail-oriented, responsible and capable of working independently
- Willingness to keep knowledge updated with current laboratory practices and accreditation requirements

Experience: Previous hands-on experience in a clinical biochemistry laboratory preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience (Preferable)
Position- The position if full time from 9am to 6 pm Monday to Saturday.
Location- Hope Clinic, Pine Mount Ridge, Opp Pine Mount School, Barik, Shillong, Meghalaya 793001.
Salary is negotiable based on experience and interview
