Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on PCB & Analog Design Engineer to design, develop, test and integrate analog/digital control electronics cards for railway traction converters, auxiliary converters, AFE and inverter systems. The candidate will be responsible for the complete hardware development cycle from circuit design and simulation through PCB layout, prototype bring-up, converter integration and EMI/EMC troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
* Design analog, digital and mixed-signal circuits for railway power electronic converter control cards.
* Design signal-conditioning circuits for voltage, current, temperature, speed and protection signals.
* Design DSP/controller-based hardware using TI C2000 – TMS320F2837x/F28379D or equivalent.
* Design and interface ADC, DAC, PWM/ePWM, SPI, CAN, UART/SCI, digital I/O and communication interfaces.
* Perform complete schematic capture, component selection, circuit simulation and PCB layout.
* Design multilayer PCBs with appropriate grounding, power distribution, decoupling, isolation, creepage/clearance and signal-return paths.
* Strong understanding of DSP PCB placement and routing, particularly ADC, PWM, clock, SPI and other sensitive/high-speed signals.
* Perform circuit simulation using LTspice/PSpice/PSIM/MATLAB or equivalent.
* Interface control electronics with IGBT/SiC gate drivers, current/voltage sensors and high-power converter stages.
* Support prototype PCB bring-up, hardware debugging, validation and design modifications.
* Integrate control cards with traction/auxiliary converters and participate in low-voltage and high-power converter testing.
* Identify and resolve EMI/EMC, noise, grounding, shielding, common-mode and differential-mode interference issues.
* Support EMI/EMC pre-compliance and qualification testing and implement corrective actions.
* Prepare hardware design, test, validation and manufacturing documentation.
Must-Have Skills
* Strong fundamentals in analog and digital electronics.
* Hands-on experience in mixed-signal PCB design and multilayer PCB routing.
* Experience with TMS320F2837x/F28379D or TI C2000 family DSPs.
* Knowledge of ADC/DAC, PWM, SPI, CAN, UART and sensor interfaces.
* Good understanding of power electronics and motor-drive control hardware.
* Practical knowledge of EMI/EMC mitigation and troubleshooting.
* Hands-on experience with oscilloscope, differential/current probes, logic analyzer and other electronic test equipment.
* Ability to troubleshoot hardware from component level to converter/system level.
* Experience with Altium / OrCAD / Allegro / KiCad or equivalent PCB tools.
Preferred Experience
* Railway traction converter / locomotive electronics.
* Traction inverter, AFE or auxiliary converter.
* High-power IGBT/SiC converter or motor-drive systems.
* Gate-driver and protection circuit design.
* High-voltage/high-current switching environments.
* EMI/EMC testing and troubleshooting.
* Knowledge of railway standards such as EN 50155, EN 50121 and EN 61373.
Ideal Candidate
A hands-on engineer who can independently take a control electronics card from:
System Requirement → Circuit Design → Simulation → Schematic → PCB Layout & Routing → Prototype → Bring-up → Testing → EMI/EMC Debugging → Power Converter Integration
Strong preference will be given to candidates having practical experience with TMS320F28379D/C2000 DSP + mixed-signal PCB design + high-power IGBT converter + EMI/EMC troubleshooting.
Pay: ₹11,376.18 - ₹100,000.00 per month
