Role Purpose
The Learning and Development Officer – Accounting is responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring training initiatives specific to accounting functions. This role ensures all employees possess the “Minimum Guaranteed Skills” required for accounting roles, while aligning team capabilities with regulatory standards, client requirements, and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct skills assessments and maintain an updated skills matrix for accounting team members.
- Identify technical and functional skill gaps (e.g., bookkeeping, taxation, compliance, software proficiency) in coordination with managers.
- Plan and deliver training programs on accounting standards, financial regulations, and industry best practices.
- Implement and monitor the “Minimum Guaranteed Skills” framework for all accounting roles.
- Organise workshops on accounting tools and software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Excel).
- Track employee learning progress and prepare reports for management review.
- Ensure training aligns with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions on updates in accounting laws, taxation, and compliance.
- Support onboarding and role-based training for new hires in the accounting team.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Accounting, or a related role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and training delivery skills.
- Ability to assess training needs and design structured learning programs.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, or similar).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
