We are looking for a skilled Signalling Design Engineer to manage and execute end-to-end signalling design activities for Indian Railways projects. The role involves complete ownership of design deliverables, coordination with internal teams, and support through testing and commissioning phases.
Key Responsibilities
Design Ownership & Execution

Prepare, review, and validate:
- Signalling Interlocking Plans (SIP)
-
Equipment Layout Plans (ELP)
-
Control/Selection Tables
Develop detailed:
-
Interface Circuits
-
Cable Route Plans & Core Allocation
-
Cable Termination Rack (CTR) designs
-
Power Supply and IPS schemes
Electronic Interlocking (EI)
-
Develop EI application logic and system architecture
-
Prepare and validate VDU layouts
-
Interface with OEMs (e.g., Kyosan) for system integration
Project Coordination & Execution
-
Work closely with cross-functional teams (Design, T&C, Site Execution)
-
Coordinate with customers and represent design team in meetings
-
Present progress updates and prepare Monthly Progress Reports (MPR)
Testing & Commissioning Support
-
Provide engineering support during:
-
IFAT, CFAT, SAT, and Commissioning
-
Resolve site queries and implement necessary design modifications
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to:
-
IRSEM, G&SR, RDSO standards
-
Contribute to safety documentation (HAZOP/FMEA, technical notes)

Maintain proper version control and documentation records
Analysis & Continuous Improvement

Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for engineering/design issues

Identify improvement areas in design and execution processes
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of:

IRSEM, G&SR, and Indian Railways signalling principles
-
Electronic Interlocking systems
Proficiency in:

AutoCAD / MicroStation
-
MS Excel & PowerPoint
-
IRSETLO / IRSE license is an added advantage.

Your success is grounded in:

5+ years in Railway Signalling Design & Testing
-
B.E./B.Tech in Electrical (EEE) or Electronics (ECE)
Strong academic record (typically- 70%) with no active backlogs
