Job Description:
We are looking for a polite, well-groomed, and service-oriented Steward for a concept bar & restaurant located at Balewadi Highstreet, Pune. The candidate will be responsible for assisting with guest service, table setup, order taking support, food and beverage service, table clearance, and maintaining smooth floor operations during busy service hours.
The ideal candidate should be energetic, disciplined, presentable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced bar and restaurant environment with evening and late-night operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests politely and assist with seating when required.
- Support the Captain / Restaurant Manager in daily service operations.
- Set up tables with proper cutlery, crockery, glassware, napkins, and condiments.
- Present menus and assist guests with basic food and beverage information.
- Take orders or assist the Captain in order taking and KOT/BOT punching when required.
- Serve food, mocktails, cocktails, liquor, and other beverages as per service standards.
- Clear used plates, glasses, cutlery, and maintain table cleanliness throughout service.
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, runners, and captains for timely order delivery.
- Maintain cleanliness of the service station, side station, guest area, and assigned section.
- Support upselling of food, cocktails, mocktails, premium beverages, and specials.
- Handle guest requests politely and escalate complaints to the Captain or Manager.
- Follow grooming, hygiene, uniform, and service standards at all times.
- Assist in opening and closing duties of the restaurant and bar.
- Support smooth operations during weekends, events, live nights, and high-footfall evenings.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience as Steward, Waiter, Server, Service Associate, or Runner in a restaurant, bar, lounge, café, hotel, or hospitality setup preferred.
- Freshers with good attitude, grooming, and communication skills may also apply.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage service will be preferred.
- Basic understanding of bar service, cocktails, mocktails, liquor service, and bottle service will be an added advantage.
- Should be polite, presentable, disciplined, punctual, and guest-focused.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced bar and restaurant environment.
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, split shifts, and late-night operations.
- Candidate should be currently located in or willing to travel/relocate to Balewadi Highstreet, Pune.
Qualification:
Minimum 10th / 12th pass.
Hotel management or hospitality background will be preferred but is not mandatory.
