About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and data infrastructure to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and transformation
- Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources
- Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security
- Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and business teams
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues
- Automate data workflows and reporting processes
- Support cloud-based data engineering solutions
- Document data architecture and workflows
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts
- Experience with Python for data processing and automation
- Understanding of ETL/ELT processes
- Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Basic understanding of big data technologies such as Spark or Hadoop
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
- Knowledge of tools such as:
- Apache Airflow
- Apache Kafka
- Snowflake
- Databricks
- Redshift/BigQuery
- Understanding of API integration and data ingestion
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines is a plus
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
Nice to Have
- Experience with scripting and automation
- Basic understanding of Machine Learning workflows
