Roles and Responsibilities of an Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Faculty Member
1. Teaching and Curriculum Development
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions in core ECE areas such as VLSI, Embedded Systems, Internet of Things (IoT), and Digital Signal Processing.
- Design, develop, and periodically update course curricula, syllabi, lecture materials, and laboratory modules in alignment with industry standards and emerging technologies.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, laboratory assessments, quizzes, and continuous evaluation methods.
2. Research and Innovation
- Conduct high-quality research and publish technical papers in reputed peer-reviewed journals and present research findings at national and international conferences.
- Secure external research grants, sponsored projects, industrial consultancy assignments, and collaborative research opportunities.
- File patents, develop innovative hardware and software solutions, and contribute to technology transfer and commercialization initiatives.
3. Student Mentoring and Guidance
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate major/minor projects, dissertations, and internships.
- Provide academic guidance, career counseling, and mentorship to support students' professional development.
- Encourage and mentor students to participate in hackathons, technical competitions, workshops, innovation challenges, and professional society activities.
4. Administration and Academic Leadership
- Contribute to institutional quality assurance and accreditation processes such as NAAC and NBA.
- Organize and coordinate conferences, workshops, seminars, Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), and other academic events.
- Participate in departmental and institutional committees, curriculum planning, and academic governance.
- Mentor junior faculty members, teaching assistants, and research scholars, particularly in the roles of Associate Professor and Professor.
Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
