Profilics Systems Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Software Engineer (Backend) with 2+ years of professional experience to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining production-grade backend applications that power business-critical systems for our clients.
This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and taking ownership of projects from development through deployment. You'll work in a collaborative environment where engineering quality, reliability, and long-term maintainability are prioritized.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and REST APIs.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable production-quality code.
- Participate in system design, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
- Optimize application performance, database queries, and backend services.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver reliable, high-quality software.
- Review code and follow software development best practices.
- Contribute to improving existing systems and reducing technical debt.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Hands-on experience with backend development using server-side technologies.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and SQL.
- Experience with Git, testing practices, and CI/CD workflows.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
