X-Ray Technician – Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic X-rays as per doctor’s instructions.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures with proper positioning and shielding.
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records, films, and reports.
- Assist radiologists/physicians in diagnostic procedures.
- Ensure proper care, calibration, and maintenance of machines.
Requirements:
- Diploma / Degree in Radiography / Medical Imaging Technology (DMIT/BSc MIT/X-Ray Technician course).
- Valid certification in radiology / radiography.
- Minimum 1–2 years of relevant work experience (freshers may also apply if qualified).
- Good communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and handling of digital X-ray equipment preferred.
