About the Role
We are looking for a passionate, skilled, and enthusiastic Music Teacher with expertise in both Vocal and Instrumental Music. The ideal candidate should be able to teach students across different age groups, develop their musical abilities, and create an engaging and inspiring learning environment.
The candidate should have strong knowledge of vocal music and at least one or more musical instruments, along with the ability to prepare students for school events, competitions, assemblies, performances, and cultural programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate vocal and instrumental music lessons.
- Teach students the fundamentals of music, including rhythm, melody, pitch, notation, voice modulation, and musical expression.
- Provide vocal training in areas such as voice culture, breathing techniques, sur, taal, pronunciation, and performance skills.
- Teach and develop students' instrumental skills based on their level and ability.
- Conduct individual and group music sessions for students.
- Identify students with musical potential and provide appropriate guidance and advanced training.
- Prepare students for school assemblies, annual functions, concerts, competitions, celebrations, and other performances.
- Train student groups, choirs, bands, and instrumental ensembles.
- Select and arrange suitable songs/music pieces according to students' age and skill levels.
- Create and maintain a structured music curriculum and lesson plans.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, teamwork, and appreciation of music among students.
- Maintain discipline and ensure the safe and proper use of musical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain records of students' progress and provide regular feedback.
- Coordinate with teachers and school leadership for performances and cultural events.
- Support the school in organising and conducting musical events and programmes.
- Ensure musical instruments are properly maintained, stored, and used responsibly.
- Participate actively in co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- Follow all school policies, professional standards, and child-safeguarding guidelines.
Vocal Music Skills
The candidate should have the ability to train students in:
- Basic and advanced vocal techniques.
- Indian/Western vocal music, depending on expertise.
- Voice modulation and breathing techniques.
- Rhythm, pitch, melody, and harmony.
- Music notation and basic music theory.
- Choir and group singing.

Instrumental Music Skills
The candidate should be proficient in multiple musical instrument, such as:
- Keyboard/Piano
- Guitar
- Tabla
- Drums
- Violin
- Flute
- Harmonium
- Other recognised musical instruments
Ability to play multiple instruments will be an added advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree or diploma in *Music / Performing Arts* from a recognised institution.
- Formal training/certification in Vocal and/or Instrumental Music will be preferred.
- Minimum *2 years of relevant teaching experience*, preferably in a school environment.
- Strong command of vocal music and proficiency in at least one musical instrument.
- Experience in conducting choirs, bands, ensembles, or school performances will be an advantage.
