Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Purchase Executive/Engineer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of engineering materials and services, sourcing reliable vendors, negotiating commercial terms, and ensuring the timely availability of materials as per technical specifications. The role requires close coordination with Production, Design, Quality, and Stores teams while maintaining cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors while maintaining an approved supplier database.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, contracts, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, monitor order status, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to resolve procurement, quality, and delivery issues.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials to avoid production delays.
- Inspect purchased materials for quality compliance and coordinate with the Quality team when required.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier documentation, invoices, and procurement reports.
- Conduct market research, analyze pricing trends, and identify opportunities for cost savings and supplier improvement.
- Collaborate with Design, Production, Quality, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and supply chain procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
- Proficiency in ERP or other procurement software for purchase order and inventory management.
- Good understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain procedures.
- Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Good organizational, documentation, and time management skills.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
