Job Description – Furniture Designer Job Summary
The Furniture Designer is responsible for creating functional and aesthetically appealing furniture designs that meet customer requirements. The role involves conducting site visits, preparing design concepts and production drawings, coordinating with customers and internal teams, and ensuring designs are accurate and ready for manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit project sites to understand customer requirements and take accurate measurements.
- Prepare layout plans, furniture placement drawings, and 2D/3D furniture designs.
- Assist customers in selecting materials, colors, finishes, and design details.
- Obtain customer approval for designs and finishes before production.
- Prepare detailed production drawings, technical specifications, and assembly details.
- Generate Bills of Materials (BOM) and material requirements for production.
- Coordinate with the Project Coordinator, customers, and production team to ensure smooth project execution.
- Revise designs based on customer feedback or site requirements.
- Ensure all drawings and specifications are accurate, complete, and production-ready.
- Provide design clarification and technical support to the production team whenever required.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Furniture Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience in furniture or interior design is preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or other relevant 2D/3D design software.
- Good understanding of furniture materials, construction methods, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
