Key Responsibilities1. Daily Plant Operations & Monitoring
- Learn to operate pumps, blowers, valves, agitators, filters, and other processing machinery safely.
- Perform routine hourly checks on water flow rates, pressure gauges, and storage tank levels.
- Help dose chemicals (like chlorine, alum, or coagulants) based on the instructions of senior operators.
2. Water Quality Testing & Compliance
- Collect water samples from different stages of the treatment process.
- Learn basic lab testing protocols (checking pH levels, Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), turbidity, and dissolved oxygen).
- Record all findings accurately in the daily plant logbook.
3. Maintenance & Safety
- Clean screens, grit chambers, and filtration units to prevent blockages.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, leaks, or unusual noises to the Plant Supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace and strictly follow safety guidelines, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
