Job requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
Experience: Minimum 5 years’ experience of Pre-Sales Engineering or Cisco Presales Engineer, Consultant
Specific Skills:
Currently works for or recently worked for a Systems Engineer performing similar presales role
Strong knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routers and switches, including familiarity with Cisco IOS as well as a working knowledge of filtering and policy-based routing
Experience in presales of Professional Services, Managed Services, Network design, and support
Knowledge of switched architecture to include creating VLANs, managing VTP domains, spanning tree, DHCP spoofing, ARP spoofing, and port security
End Client-facing to understand their business goals, and requirements & recommend solutions
Lead technical discussions to understand business & technical requirements and translate them into functional specifications
Ability to demonstrate technical knowledge and consultative skills can lead whiteboarding & tabletop exercises
Excellent oral and written English communication skills
CCIE / CCNP preferred
