As a Program Associate, you'll play a key role in guiding young people throughout their learning and employment journey—from enrollment and skill development to placement and alumni engagement. If you're passionate about mentoring youth and creating meaningful social impact, we'd love to have you on our team.
What You'll Do
Support Program Delivery
- Ensure smooth implementation of skilling and livelihood programs at the centre.
- Help achieve learner participation, completion, and employment outcomes.
- Coordinate day-to-day program activities to ensure a positive learner experience.
Mentor & Engage Youth
- Build meaningful relationships with learners and motivate them throughout their journey.
- Identify and nurture student leaders and alumni volunteers to strengthen community engagement.
- Encourage participation and foster a supportive learning environment.
Monitor Learning Progress
- Track attendance, learner progress, and engagement.
- Identify learning challenges and coordinate timely interventions with the training team.
- Ensure students successfully complete their skilling programs.
Prepare Youth for Employment
- Work closely with the placement team to prepare learners for interviews and employment opportunities.
- Support students with placement readiness activities and ensure participation in scheduled interviews.
Maintain Program Data
- Update learner records and program information on internal systems and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Track key program metrics and generate insights to improve outcomes.
Support Centre Operations
- Assist the Centre Head with daily centre operations and program coordination.
- Demonstrate Lighthouse values through professionalism, empathy, and teamwork.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (BBA, MBA, MSW, or a related discipline).
Experience
- 3–4 years of experience in skilling, livelihoods, education, youth development, or community programs.
Skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience working with youth from underserved communities is preferred.
- Comfortable using MS Office, Google Workspace, and basic data management tools.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Fluency in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
- Open to travel across Pune
