Job Description: Project Management Executive – SCM, Inventory management and project operations
Position Summary
The Project management Executive will coordinate with the company SCM team to manage and execute the department purchase requests to PO requirements, manage the inventory and miscellaneous project management activities to ensure smooth operations of the department. The role requires strong coordination with suppliers and internal stakeholders, adherence to procurement policies, and effective execution of sourcing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Handle the entire RFQ (Request for Quotation) process—shortlisting suppliers, inviting quotes, follow-ups, and clarifications.
Conduct comparative statement analysis (Price, Delivery, Technical alignment, and Commercial terms).
Create and release Purchase requests as per approved RFQs and procurement guidelines.
Track order acknowledgements, delivery commitments, and coordinate with internal teams for timelines.
Maintain supplier records, quotations, and communication logs in the ERP system.
Ensure PR–PO process compliance and support auditing requirements.
Coordinate with end-users, planning, finance, and logistics for seamless procurement execution.
Receiving, checking, and recording incoming materials and consumables.
Issuing materials to relevant departments against proper documentation.
Maintaining accurate inventory records in ERP/manual registers.
Ensuring proper storage, labeling, and identification of items.
Monitoring stock levels and assisting in timely replenishment.
Coordinating with procurement and logistics teams for material availability.
Conducting periodic stock audits and cycle counts.
Maintaining housekeeping, safety, and compliance in stores.
Supporting disposal/return of non-conforming, excess, or obsolete items.
Preparing reports related to inventory, consumption, and stock movement.
Required Skills & Competencies
Good knowledge of PR–PO processes, RFQ handling, quotation evaluation, and procurement workflows.
Prior experience in a similar industry (manufacturing/engineering/industrial preferred).
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, or similar.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and vendor management skills.
Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple RFQs efficiently.
High attention to detail and strong process orientation.
Education & Experience Requirements
Diploma, Engineering
2–4 years of experience in procurement, inventory management and general project coordination activities.
