Job Description: Raw Batching & Mixing Supervisor Role Summary
We are seeking highly disciplined candidates who demonstrate exceptional reliability (minimum 98.5% attendance), strict punctuality, and a strong drive to learn and excel in their career.
The Raw Batching & Mixing Supervisor owns the entire front-end preparation process. This role is responsible for taking raw ingredients—meats, flours, vegetables, and micro-nutrients—and transforming them into precise, high-quality dough ready for processing.
Beyond mixing, this supervisor directly manages inventory planning to prevent line stoppages, enforces strict allergen and sanitation standards, and leads floor operators and labor hands to execute daily production targets with zero formulation errors.
Key Responsibilities.
1. Inventory Planning & Raw Material Maintenance
- Monitor real-time raw material (RM) stock levels (meats, grains/flours, vegetables, micro-ingredients) and raise timely purchase/warehouse requisitions to prevent production downtime due to material shortages.
- Coordinate ingredient preparation well ahead of processing—including meat thawing cycles, vegetable washing/chopping, and dry meal staging.
2. Batch Preparation, Mixing & Process Control
- Oversee full batch preparation including meat grinding/emulsification, flour sifting, vegetable prep, and micro-dosing.
- Ensure exact water-to-dry ratios, mixing times, sequence of ingredient additions, and temperature targets to achieve the correct dough consistency for the processing line.
- Verify 100% compliance with formulation sheets (Bill of Materials) for every batch.
- Maintain complete, audit-ready batch records (logs of lot numbers, weights, mix times, prep temperatures, and total daily output).
3. Raw Material Quality & Allergen Management
- Inspect incoming raw materials (freshness of meats, moisture of grains, state of vegetables) before batching; quarantine sub-standard materials immediately.
- Enforce strict segregated batching protocols between high-meat, grain-free, and standard cereal-based formulas to prevent cross-contamination.
4. Area, Equipment & Hygiene Sanitation
- Oversee the operational safety and performance of industrial meat grinders, emulsifiers, rib/paddle mixers, and dosing scales.
- Direct pre-shift, mid-shift (between formula changes), and post-shift cleaning protocols for all equipment and staging areas.
- Ensure 100% compliance with food safety guidelines (HACCP/GMP) with zero deviations.
5. Labor Leadership & Communication
- Lead, instruct, and manage floor helpers, laborers, and machine operators with clear, unambiguous instructions.
- Set clear visual prep guides and conduct quick pre-shift briefings to keep human error on weights and sequence to absolute zero.
- Ensure the batching line keeps pace with daily tonnage goals set by the Factory Manager.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Formulation Accuracy: 100% adherence to recipe weights (Zero batch errors)
- Stock Downtime: Less than 1% of processing delay caused by RM shortages
- Dough Quality: Less than 1% batch rejection due to incorrect moisture or mixing consistency
- Sanitation & Hygiene: 100% pass rate on pre-op hygiene and allergen swab tests
- Target Fulfillment: ≥ 98% on-time delivery of prepared dough to the cooking/processing line
