- Production Planning: Translates customer demand and sales forecasts into actionable, workable production schedules. Determines what, when, how much, and for whom to produce.
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Evaluates Bill of Materials (BOM) against existing inventory and coordinates with the procurement team to prevent raw material shortages or excess stock.
- Capacity Optimization: Allocates labor, machinery, and workspace to maximize factory throughput while minimizing operational costs and avoiding production bottlenecks.
- Shop Floor Control: Issues job orders, tracks work-in-progress (WIP), and reconciles work orders to ensure operations adhere to exact product parameters and quality standards.
- Deviation Management: Identifies schedule disruptions, labor shortages, or machine downtime, and rapidly adjusts production plans to meet customer delivery commitments.
- Reporting & Analytics: Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regarding efficiency, cost, and lead times, reporting on production status to upper management.
