Key Responsibilities
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, wards, OTs, OPDs, corridors, waiting areas, offices, and washrooms as per hospital protocols.
- Sweep, mop, dust, and vacuum floors and surfaces regularly.
- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of high-touch areas such as door handles, switches, handrails, and furniture.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, hand sanitizer, tissue paper, and cleaning materials.
- Prepare Tea/Coffee to patients & staffs
Waste Management
- Segregate and dispose of waste according to Biomedical Waste Management guidelines.
- Handle general and biomedical waste safely using appropriate PPE.
- Transport waste to designated collection points as per hospital procedures.
- Training will be provided
Patient & Visitor Support
- Maintain courteous and professional behavior with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Respond promptly to housekeeping requests and spill management incidents.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and welcoming hospital environment.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the reporting manager immediately.
- Prior housekeeping experience in a hospital, healthcare facility, hotel, or commercial establishment is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of hospital cleaning and sanitation standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical fitness to perform cleaning and lifting activities.
- Teamwork and time management skills.
Working Conditions
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays as per hospital requirements, can avail compensatory off or Leave based on the approval.
Experience: 1 – 2 years (Hospital housekeeping experience preferred)
