Job Title: Maintenance Manager

Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring maximum machine availability, reliability, and safety through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance. The role includes managing CNC machine maintenance, electrical systems, utilities, facility maintenance, and ensuring compliance with electrical and machine safety standards to achieve uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
1. Machine Maintenance
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
- Ensure high uptime of:
- Swiss CNC Machines
- VMC (Vertical Machining Centers)
- CNC Turning Centers
- EDM Machines
- Wire Cut EDM Machines
- Spark Erosion Machines
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and CNC control faults.
- Coordinate with OEM service engineers for major repairs and annual maintenance.
2. Preventive Maintenance
- Develop annual preventive maintenance schedules.
- Prepare maintenance checklists and SOPs.
- Monitor machine health using maintenance records.
- Maintain lubrication schedules and calibration records.
3. Electrical Maintenance & Safety
- Maintain LT electrical panels, MCC panels, transformers, UPS, AHU, compressors, and utility equipment.
- Ensure electrical safety compliance as per statutory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical installations.
- Maintain earthing systems and lightning protection.
- Ensure Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are implemented.
- Monitor energy consumption and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
4. Utilities Maintenance
- Air compressors

5. Spare Parts Management
- Maintain critical spare inventory.
- Plan procurement of machine spare parts.
- Coordinate with Purchase department.
- Reduce inventory cost while ensuring machine availability.
6. Breakdown Analysis
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Implement CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
- Reduce MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
- Improve MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).
7. Team Management
- Lead maintenance engineers and technicians.
- Allocate daily maintenance activities.
- Train technicians on machine maintenance and safety.
- Conduct performance reviews.
8. Documentation
- Maintain maintenance logs.
- Machine history cards.
- Calibration records.
- Utility logs.
- AMC documentation.
- Electrical inspection reports.
- Breakdown reports.
9. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, electrical safety standards, and EHS guidelines.
- Conduct safety audits.
- Ensure proper PPE usage.
- Perform machine risk assessments.
- Coordinate fire and emergency response drills.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and other applicable quality standards.
10. Continuous Improvement
- Improve machine availability (Target >95%)
- Reduce maintenance cost.
- Implement TPM, Kaizen, and 5S.
- Support automation and machine upgrades.
- Drive predictive maintenance initiatives.

Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Production Engineering.
- Diploma candidates with extensive maintenance experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 8–15 years in maintenance of CNC precision manufacturing equipment.
- Minimum 3 years in a managerial or team lead role.
- Experience in medical device, aerospace, automotive, or precision engineering industries preferred.
