A Mechanical Erection Engineer supervises the safe and accurate assembly, installation, and alignment of heavy machinery, structural components, and mechanical systems at project sites. They manage site resources, ensure compliance with engineering blueprints, and maintain strict adherence to project timelines and safety standards.
- Site Supervision: Direct the physical installation, alignment, and assembly of mechanical equipment and structural parts according to approved drawings.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce site safety rules, issue work permits, and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Quality Control: Inspect incoming materials and perform dimensional, leveling, and structural alignment checks.
- Resource Management: Plan daily labor, tools, and heavy lifting machinery like cranes to maximize work efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Resolve technical issues by communicating with design, quality control, and project management teams.
- Progress Tracking: Maintain daily logs, record material usage, and report project progress to senior managers.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with 5 plus years experience working with construction, oil and gas companies
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to read complex piping, assembly, and structural drawings.
- Software Skills: Basic proficiency in tools like AutoCAD and MS Office.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities for managing on-site contractors.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
