Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cashier in a Restaurant, Hotel, Lounge, Bar, or Hospitality Industry.
Job Summary:
The Senior Cashier will be responsible for managing billing operations, handling cash and digital transactions, maintaining accurate records, reconciling daily collections, and ensuring excellent customer service. The candidate should have strong knowledge of restaurant POS systems, GST billing, and cash management procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle customer billing and payment transactions accurately.
- Operate and manage the POS system efficiently.
- Process payments through cash, cards, UPI, and other digital modes.
- Ensure accurate GST billing and invoice generation.
- Reconcile daily cash collections and submit reports to management.
- Maintain records of sales, discounts, voids, and refunds.
- Coordinate with restaurant operations and accounts teams.
- Resolve customer billing queries professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and cash handling procedures.
- Assist in preparing daily sales and collection reports.
- Train and guide junior cashiers when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate in Commerce or any relevant field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality cashier operations.
- Strong knowledge of POS software and billing systems.
- Basic knowledge of GST, invoicing, and accounting procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
Skills Required:
- Excellent cash handling and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in rotational shifts.
