Roles & Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and approve all General Ledger (GL) postings in Tally to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Act as the checker for accounting entries and maintain strong internal financial controls.
- Ensure proper ledger maintenance and monitor ledger hygiene across all accounting heads.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
- Perform and oversee bank, vendor, customer, inter-company, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies and unreconciled items on a timely basis.
- Support preparation of monthly Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheet schedules, cash flow reports, and other financial reports.
- Generate periodic MIS reports and dashboards for management review.
- Analyze financial performance, identify variances, and provide actionable insights to support business decisions.
- Coordinate with treasury, operations, compliance, and finance teams to ensure accurate accounting and reporting.
- Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
- Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and strengthening of financial controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field. CA, CMA, or equivalent qualification preferred but not mandatory.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliations, preferably in NBFC, BFSI, or financial services industry.
- Mandatory: Excellent hands-on expertise in Tally (advanced level).
- Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting, financial statements, and accounting principles.
- Proven experience in month-end and year-end closures.
- Strong reconciliation skills across bank accounts, vendors, customers, and balance sheet schedules.
- Experience in MIS reporting, financial analysis, and management reporting.
- Good understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and statutory compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and meet strict reporting deadlines.
Preferred Profile
- Experience in NBFC, lending, fintech, or financial services organizations.
- Exposure to treasury accounting, loan accounting, and regulatory reporting.
- CA-qualified candidates preferred; however, strong non-CA candidates with exceptional Tally and accounting expertise will also be considered.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
