The Senior Executive - Purchase is responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring the timely procurement of materials, equipment, and services while maintaining quality standards and optimizing costs. The role involves vendor management, purchase planning, negotiation, inventory coordination, and compliance with company procurement policies. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the biomedical or healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services based on organizational requirements.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and monitor timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain accurate purchase records, vendor databases, and pricing information.
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and forecast purchasing needs.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse and stores to avoid stock shortages.
- Resolve issues related to supplier performance, quality, delivery, and invoice discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and conduct periodic vendor performance evaluations.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analysis, and savings reports for management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 4.5-5 years of experience in procurement, purchase, or supply chain functions.
- Candidates with Biomedical Engineering experience in procurement or medical equipment purchasing will be preferred.
Required Skills:
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, documentation, and purchase order management.
- Experience in sourcing biomedical equipment or healthcare-related products is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
