The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the manufacturing facility, employees, visitors, contractors, assets, and materials. The role involves monitoring access control, patrolling the premises, preventing unauthorized entry, responding to emergencies, and ensuring compliance with company security policies. The position requires working in a 24-hour operational environment on rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Working Schedule
- The manufacturing facility operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Security Guards will work on rotational shifts (Morning, Evening, and Night).
- Shifts will normally be 8 or 12 hours, as determined by company policy and applicable labor laws.
- Overtime may be required during emergencies, special assignments, or manpower shortages.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccess Control
- Control entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vehicles.
- Verify identity cards, visitor passes, and authorization documents.
- Register visitors and issue visitor badges.
- Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
Plant Security
- Conduct regular patrols of the factory premises, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and perimeter.
- Monitor gates, fences, loading docks, and vulnerable locations.
- Detect and report suspicious activities or security breaches.
- Protect company property, machinery, equipment, and inventory.
Surveillance & Monitoring
- Monitor CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control systems.
- Record unusual activities and report incidents promptly.
- Ensure surveillance equipment is functioning properly.
Material & Vehicle Control
- Inspect incoming and outgoing vehicles.
- Verify delivery documents, gate passes, and dispatch authorizations.
- Prevent unauthorized removal of company assets or materials.
- Maintain vehicle entry and exit logs.
Emergency Response
- Respond promptly to fire alarms, accidents, theft, medical emergencies, and security incidents.
- Coordinate with emergency services when required.
- Assist in evacuation procedures during emergencies.
- Provide first response until emergency teams arrive.
Incident Reporting
- Prepare accurate daily security reports.
- Record incidents, accidents, visitor logs, and shift handover reports.
- Immediately report security violations to the Security Supervisor.
Safety Compliance
- Enforce company safety and security procedures.
- Ensure compliance with PPE requirements for visitors and contractors.
- Support Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) initiatives.
Customer Service
- Greet visitors professionally.
- Provide directions and assistance when required.
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude at all times.
Qualifications
- Minimum High School/Secondary School Certificate.
- Security Guard certification or equivalent training is preferred.
- Basic first aid and fire safety training is an advantage.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience as a Security Guard in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, logistics, or commercial environment.
- Experience in handling CCTV systems and access control is preferred.
