This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from our office in Bengaluru (2 to 3 times/ week). Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members, local and visiting, from other global offices.
The Opportunity
Manager - Global Intercompany Accounting
We are seeking a Manager - Global Intercompany Accounting to lead TELUS's global intercompany accounting function from our India Finance Shared Services COE. In this strategic role, you will oversee all aspects of intercompany accounting operations, transfer pricing governance, and intercompany close processes across TELUS's global entities. You will drive process optimization, ensure regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and provide strategic guidance to finance leadership on complex intercompany matters.

Required Qualifications
Experience: 8-12 years of progressive experience in intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, or global accounting operations, with at least 3-4 years in a management or leadership role.
Transfer Pricing Expertise: Deep knowledge of transfer pricing methodologies, regulations, and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions (US, Canada, UK, India)
Technical Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of intercompany accounting principles, consolidation procedures, and accounting standards (IFRS/US GAAP)
System Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in SAP. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
Experience with consolidation tools (Hyperion, OneStream, or similar)
Familiarity with data visualization and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of transfer pricing regulations and tax compliance requirements in multiple jurisdictions
Multi-Currency Experience: Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-currency transactions, FX revaluations, and complex cash settlements
Team Leadership: Proven ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing accounting teams
Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
Language Skills: Fluent in English; knowledge of additional languages is beneficial
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with multinational organizations in technology, telecommunications, or similar industries
Experience in a Financial Shared Services Center (FSSC) environment
Experience with intercompany netting, cash pooling, and in-house banking arrangements
Exposure to ERP system implementations or upgrades

Education and Experience:
B.Com / M.Com / MBA / Degree in Finance/Accounting.
Experience working with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and/or Generally Accepted.
Accounting Principles (GAAP)SAP S/4HANA Cloud experience preferred, but not required. Experience working within a matrix organization.
